Merry Christmas All

I just thought i’d jump on for a bit this morning to make sure and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.  This day is going to be quite busy for me as I’m one of those last minute shoppers and have quite a bit to get done yet.  I tell myself each year I’ll get the shopping done early but it never seems to happen.  I think i get a thrill from the last minute rush to the stores seeking out that perfect gift.  Actually I’m much further ahead this year as like many I’ve been doing more and more shopping online these days.  I still havnt quite been sold on the entire online shopping experience.  Its just missing that excitement you get when driving around town trying to get to the next mall before it closes on Christmas eve.  Perhaps they will come out with some sort of changes in the next few years that could bring more fun and excitement to shopping for christmas gifts online.  I’d do it all at ebay but I find their prices on new items arnt nearly as competitive as those i can find locally or at other online stores.  Anyway have to run cars all warmed up and bad weather is on the way.  Again Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Sick Of Politics Already

I don’t know about anyone else out there in the online world but I’ve about had it with politics for the year.  All this bickering between Obama, McCain, Biden and Palin has gotten to be rediculas.  I’m sure this is politics as usual but sure seems like a bunch of petty squabling over non issues this year.   In my opinion it really doesn’t matter who wins as the national debt, state of the economy and on going war on terrorism is going to pretty much dictate what their agenda will be.  When it comes down to it the President has little impact anyway, its congress that screws the pooch for all of us.  I’d sure like to see some elected officals actually do something in congress besides give themselves raises, pack bills full of juicey pork and pass the buck to the next generation, wishfull thinking I know.

Oops I did It Again

Maybe I’m just not cut out to be putting my thoughts down on paper.  I’ve owned this site now for several year and havn’t done squat with it.  Maybe I can get motivated enough now to do something with it.  Thanks goodness I dont do this kind of stuff for a living or I’d be dead broke by now.  Anyway little updated on my family.  The oldest is in her second year of college, middle daughter is in her senior year of high school and the youngest my boy is a freshman.  The oldest really hasn’t decided what to do with her life and is bouncing around between several differnt majors.  Man I hope she makes up her mind soon this is getting expensive.  The middle daughter has become quite the vocal star and has won several awards throughout high school for her beautiful voice.  She’s getting ready to visit colleges, apply for scholarships and audition for local theatre  and choir groups.  I think her goal is to continue and pursue classical singing in her college career.  As for the boy well he’s a boy.  Loves sports, girls and general goofing around.  He’s starting up swimming this month for the high school team.  Hopefully he’ll be able to make the varsity but I doubt it as a freshman.  Well that’s a general roundup of the family.  I’ll try to keep this site updated for a change.
