Why Deer Hunting Isn’t Right For Everyone

I figured since its getting to be that time of season where the minds of outdoorsmen turns to hunting.  I’m no exception, I was killing time at work during lunch and ran across this funny video about a time when Bill Engvall takes his wife deer hunting with him.  Now I know many women out there hunt and love the outdoors, well his wife isnt’ one of them and neither is mine so I found this extremely funny.  Have a look see for your self before you decide to go out and buy your wife a new or used Mathews compound bow

Now That’s What I’m Talking About

Now this was the type of salmon fishing I want to be doing. I’m not sure where this guy was fly fishing but it looks beautiful. I’ve never actually been fly fishing for salmon but it’s on my list of things to do this year. I’ve taken up fly fishing some of the local ponds in my area and hit a few streams for small mouth bass, but no salmon or trout fishing anywhere close to my neck of the woods. Check out this guys nice catch.
If your looking to take a fly fishing trip or fishing vacation you can find a great deal on new and used fly fishing combo for sale here

Why You Don’t Salmon Fish Around Whales

I was surfing through youtube checking out differnet fishing videos since I’m planning a salmon fishing trip and wanted some tips.  Just in case you ever decide to go salmon fishing in Alaska definately watch out for the whales.  These guys know first hand what that’s like.

Sick Of Politics Already

I don’t know about anyone else out there in the online world but I’ve about had it with politics for the year.  All this bickering between Obama, McCain, Biden and Palin has gotten to be rediculas.  I’m sure this is politics as usual but sure seems like a bunch of petty squabling over non issues this year.   In my opinion it really doesn’t matter who wins as the national debt, state of the economy and on going war on terrorism is going to pretty much dictate what their agenda will be.  When it comes down to it the President has little impact anyway, its congress that screws the pooch for all of us.  I’d sure like to see some elected officals actually do something in congress besides give themselves raises, pack bills full of juicey pork and pass the buck to the next generation, wishfull thinking I know.

Oops I did It Again

Maybe I’m just not cut out to be putting my thoughts down on paper.  I’ve owned this site now for several year and havn’t done squat with it.  Maybe I can get motivated enough now to do something with it.  Thanks goodness I dont do this kind of stuff for a living or I’d be dead broke by now.  Anyway little updated on my family.  The oldest is in her second year of college, middle daughter is in her senior year of high school and the youngest my boy is a freshman.  The oldest really hasn’t decided what to do with her life and is bouncing around between several differnt majors.  Man I hope she makes up her mind soon this is getting expensive.  The middle daughter has become quite the vocal star and has won several awards throughout high school for her beautiful voice.  She’s getting ready to visit colleges, apply for scholarships and audition for local theatre  and choir groups.  I think her goal is to continue and pursue classical singing in her college career.  As for the boy well he’s a boy.  Loves sports, girls and general goofing around.  He’s starting up swimming this month for the high school team.  Hopefully he’ll be able to make the varsity but I doubt it as a freshman.  Well that’s a general roundup of the family.  I’ll try to keep this site updated for a change.
